Kakariki

This little fellow is a kakariki. The name may be odd, but it comes from the funny little sound they make. These birds have a similar temperament as a budgie; they are very friendly and personable. As with all the birds at Fauna, these little guys were raised here and because of that, will happily accept a treat from your hand.
