Sandfish
(Scincus scincus)

Sandfish (Scincus scincus)
Sandfish (Scincus scincus) are an extremely unique species of skink. They bury themselves in a sand substrate using their specially designed shovel shaped snout and fin-like toes to move through it so freely that it looks as if they are swimming. They do well in hot desert environments with 4-6 inches of loose sand.
