Copperband Butterfly
(Chelmon rostratus)
Copperband butterflies (Chelmon rostratus) are a beautiful fish that everyone can easily recognize. This fish is somewhat sensitive and can be difficult to wean to prepared foods. They are one of the few butterflies that can be kept in a reef tank, however they may pick at some corals – particularly parazoanthids. They can be useful to eradicate pests such as feather dusters, aiptasia (glass anemones), and others.
