Turquoisine grass parakeets are slightly smaller than a budgie with a very passive demeanor. Although commonly kept as an aviary bird, they can be a delightful pet bird. They have quiet voices that make them perfect for NYC apartments.
Grass parakeets are little Australian species with quiet and shy demeanors. This particular turquoisine is a yellow mutation, which replaces all the normal green color they would normally exhibit.
Turquoisine Grass Parakeets (this is a yellow mutation) are tiny little members of the parrot family being slightly smaller than a budgerigar! They are quiet and peaceful birds that never cause a fuss. If handled frequently they can be handleable pet birds or they can just enjoy a large flight cage. If the housing is large enough these little birds do well in mixed flights with other peaceful species.
