Are you going on vacation, but don’t want your bird to be bored and lonely while you’re away? Send them to Fauna for a change of scenery and relaxation. With plenty of fresh food, music, and companionship, your bird will have their own great vacation here at Fauna. Our experienced staff will offer your pet all the comforts of home so that you can feel at ease during your travels.
BOARDING POLICY
In an effort to ensure the health and well-being of all of our birds, we do maintain a strict health policy.

- All birds will be required to have a current health certificate (within 12 months of boarding,) as well as some avian viral screening. We must receive these prior to your bird entering the store. As a precaution, we cannot board birds that appear ill. If a bird appears ill upon arrival, we will refer you and your pet to the Center for Avian & Exotic Medicine where they can examine and provide medical boarding for your pet while you are away.
- In the event of an unlikely emergency, or if a bird becomes ill while in our care, it will be taken to the Center for Avian & Exotic Medicine for examination at the owner’s expense.
- All boarders will be required to have at least two toys for their cage. You are welcome to bring some of your bird’s toys from home. Otherwise, they will be provided by Fauna at the owner’s expense.
- We have an extensive variety of foods in stock, but if your pet is on a special diet that we do not carry, you will need to bring an ample supply with you for the duration of your pet’s stay.
